TopSEOs Strikes Back!
After the SEO community cried out, and lashed out, at Top SEOs for alleged deceptive practices the TopSEOs brass rushed out to do what they do best the most, they created some press releases. They made claims that they have listened and will clean up their act.
Did they? Not according to Alan Bleiweiss in his Top SEOs Continues Deceptive Practices article.
After reading Alan's in depth article it looks like the only way to stop fake SEO ranking services like TopSEOs and Verified SEO copycats will be to nip them in the bud. Once they bloom into a money making machine there is little anyone or any community can do to stop them. The more we publish and link to complaints the more we can slow them down but if they have SEO traffic to sell then they will have agencies keeping them in business, that's the hard SEO truth. It's still dog-eat-dog and ethics be damned at this level of the game.
SEOHonesty - Are You Serious?
Apparently some SEOs are too busy to see what's been going on in the industry, so they rush out and try a business model that is currently being dragged through the mud. It is quite apparent that SEO badges, ranking, awards, verification and ranking systems are not going to be accepted by the community at large, at least not any time soon, and most likely not by any self-proclaimed SEO expert individual or company looking to profit.

So how is it that so-called search experts are not aware of the destruction of Verified SEO and the current situation at TopSEOs? If you insist on implementing an SEO verification system or approved SEO directory, you might try spending some time with the "community" before you make the same mistakes. Maybe someone needs to write an e-book, "How To Start Your Own SEO Vetting Directory For Profit". It will have one page. On that page it will say DON'T!

TopSEOs - Is Anyone Home?
What's this? Is someone alive at Top SEOS? Is that a new article posted on their website on April 1st 2010? Oh no! They got me, April Fools! It's a scraped article from Ezine Articles. But it does mention how easy it is to be in the top 10 on Google. Well, that sort of sounds like an April Fools joke too, at least for any terms that matter. I guess even with the "Top SEO" companies paying them thousands per month to be listed, I mean verified, they just can't afford original articles.
So it looks like there is still no answer from the people at TopSEOS. Is anyone home? Maybe after they read this new post at SEO Consultants where Edward Lewis picks apart the Top SEOs 2010 Media Kit they will surface or return from the dead.
